The Washington, DC and surrounding areas are relatively pricey for accommodations. Many hotels do their main business during the week, and may offer significant discounts for weekend travelers, especially after the summer tourism season ends.
- Generally, rates are lower in outlying areas such as Rockville or Gaithersburg, MD. However, these cities are 5 to 20 miles from the seminar, and not necessarily convenient for a weekend stay. We recommend finding accommodation in the Bethesda area, if possible.
- Some of the major hotel chains offer suites, which may be convenient and less expensive for more than two people.
- Discounts may be available through various online travel sites, such as Travelocity. Also try checking with AAA, airline frequent flyer sites, etc.
